Tricity Vogue’s Ukulele Cabaret

July 20, 2010

Tricity Vogue's Ukulele Cabaret
Tricity Vogue’s Ukulele Cabaret are doing a show at the fringe festival.

It’s free and I suggest that we arrange a night where we can all go along? There’s open mic too if anyone fancies a turn. What say you all?  I could make the 16th or 23rd, although the 23rd is getting rather close to our due date and the 16th is a ukearist.  We could always relocate the ukearist for the night, with an hour of strumming at the usual place first?

    Hi everyone!

I’m really looking forward to meeting you on the 16th!

If you’d like to do a spot I’m offering 1 song plus 1 encore to all acts – and I’m confirming all open mic spots in advance so I can put a running order together to help my sound engineer. Do you have a spokesperson who can liaise with me via email about your tech needs etc? Mail@tricityvogue.com

Also, if you’d like to busk beforehand, why not do it in the three sisters courtyard? There’s even a little stage! Let mr know and I’ll square it with the manager

    Yours in ukeliness

So, meet outside the Three Sisters (or just inside if it is raining?) at about 7.30 for an informal strum session?

Does anyone feel moved to play at the official open mic bit? If so, suggestions for song to work on between now and then?

I’d be ok for doing the kist – will contact others and see if we can.

And maybe the kist users could perform their number at the open mic? Anyone else tempted to take to the stage?

Good plan, we’ll relocate ukearist to the cabaret for the night. If someone can arrange the busking beforehand then I’m there!

16th sounds good to me. If we put a note on the site and the door of the school, that should work out fine.

After all, it is summer and folk have been off doing other things anyway, so it might not catch (m)any making the trek and finding us away.

Due to geography (and how much chatting we do at the start of a session), it might be better not to try to squeeze in an hour at the school.

Now and hour of busking not far from the venue might be different ….
