Some photos from the last ukearist

February 11, 2009

What a great night it was!  I think we had a total of 14 of us there including 4 new ukers, it’s great how much support there is for this night in such a short space of time!

I would like to tell you all which songs we played, but I’ve forgotten – I do remember that Margaret brought a great song in for us all to play wihch was really popular, can’t remember what song it was though!  Anyway, we want more of this Edinburgh ukers – bring in chords for songs you would like to play at the next ukearist.  Keep the chords relatively simple at the moment so we don’t leave the less experienced ukers behind.

We are sounding much more coherant as a group too and even got a few different parts and complimentary strumming patterns going, definitely starting to click as a group!

Next date for your diary is 16th February for Monday Ukearist number 3 at the Language School.

Right, here’s some photos of our merry band of ukers

It’s a digital replication of the cross-processing effect that you get by developing film in the ‘wrong’ chemicals. I use lightroom for my processing.

The club is indeed a lot fun! Are you based around Edinburgh at all? You should come down if you are.

I like your blog – you should start updating it again!

Great photos, looks like a fun club. How did you get the effect on this photo? https://ukearist.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/ukearist-0011.jpg

Reminds me of the cover of Definitely Maybe.

(But that’s not why I like it.)
